Executive Director Andy Johnson became the first employee of the Housing Trust Fund of Johnson County in July, 2004. Andy is a graduate of Cedar Falls High School, Dana College (Blair, Nebraska) and the University of Iowa College of Law. He came to HTFJC after ten years in private legal practice, two years as a stay at home parent and five years in fundraising.

Andy is a 2005 graduate of the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership (CLP) Program and currently serves as the Chair of the CLP Council. As Executive Director, he represents the Housing Trust Fund on the Johnson County Local Homeless Coordinating Board and other housing related committees.

Andy is a member of Zion Lutheran Church and has volunteered at Lemme Elementary School, Southeast Junior High School, City High School, Lutheran Campus Ministry, Kicker's Soccer Club, and the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library. He and his wife, Kathy Gerking, have two children, Anna and Aaron.
